Payir operates mainly on donations received from friends and well wishers like you. Any amount you contribute will help Payir make a difference in the lives of many people.


Payir Trust is a Public Charitable Trust registered under the Indian Trusts Act and under section 12A of Indian Income Tax Act for exemption from Income Tax. The Trust also is registered under 80G of Indian Income Tax Act for donors to claim deductions on their monetary donations.

This implies Payir Trust can accept contributions in cash (in Rupees only) or kind from an Indian citizen (including non-resident Indian) and the donor will be able claim tax deductions under 80G.

Payir Trust has applied to the Central Government of India for registration to accept foreign contributions in November 07. This process takes anywhere between 1 year to 3 years to complete. Meanwhile, in case a foreign donor or a non-resident Indian contributing in foreign currency intends to donate in cash, Payir Trust can apply for prior permission to the Central Government of India for use of the pledged contribution to a specific purpose or project.
So, we request the foreign donors to Contact Us or email us at info@payir.org for further information before making such contributions.

The Trust appreciates your contributions and will promptly issue a receipt of all contributions received. We are committed to send, through direct mail, to all of our contributors a half-yearly progress report of the Trust's projects and activities. We are also committed to publish our accounts (Balance Sheet, Income and Expenditure Account) on the Internet.
